Installation

CTC Cable Corporation provides installation training and support for all customers worldwide.  Installation training and support includes all safety and procedural aspects that are unique to the ACCC® conductor and associated hardware. While it is assumed that the crews being trained are generally well experienced linemen, safety basics are reviewed, and dead end and splice assembly installation are covered at length, along with proper installation techniques.  All members of the training program who subsequently complete the installation become certified by CTC Cable Corporation and are awarded a Training Certificate.

CTC Cable Corporation’s field applications personnel conduct pre-construction meetings to review installation guidelines, hardware installation, proper safety techniques, and installation schedule, among other things.

CTC Cable provides full time field installation supervisors to help ensure that proper and safe installation techniques are utilized during the course of installation. While these supervisors do not act as project managers or replace the installation company’s supervisors, they do provide valuable experience and support, and can assist in many ways to help insure that the installation crew follows safe and appropriate procedures. Experience gained during the installation of over 5,000 miles of ACCC® conductor at over 130 project sites is shared with all personnel involved in conductor installation.

CTC Cable’s field applications personnel have a combined experience of over 100 years.
