Whether the goal is to up-rate an existing line, solve sag and clearance problems or reduce greenhouse gas emissions, ACCC® conductors will provide the best solution.
CTC Cable originally developed ten different conductor sizes, utilizing ten different core sizes. In response to and in cooperation with our customers around the world, CTC Cable has continued to develop new sizes of conductor, utilizing the existing core sizes. We now offer more than twenty-five sizes, and the list continues to grow. Additionally, there are plans to develop new core sizes to expand the solutions that we can provide. Whatever line the project requires, there is an ACCC® conductor solution that will meet your needs. If necessary, we can develop a more optimum solution by working with you to design a new size. CTC Cable has developed applications for long crossings, river crossings and heavy ice-load conditions.
CTC Cable currently has four approved stranders, each of whom produce a range of ACCC® conductor sizes based on regional customer requirements. The approved stranders offer differing numbers of conductors for their geographic regions. The approved stranding sources (General Cable in North America, Midal in Bahrain, Lamifil N.V. in Belgium and Far East Composite Cable in China) are capable of producing dozens of sizes and capacities of ACCC® conductor.
